Quincy’s Brussel Sprouts To Die For
(Quick, Easy & Kid Tested!)
Please disregard the fact that the picture is on a cheap paper plate and you see our dirty fork. Unfortunately, I had a few glasses of wine last night and didn’t think to take a better picture. BUT, regardless of the crappy picture, these are the most delicious, tasty, amazing brussel sprouts you will ever make. EVEN my anti-all-vegetables son loved these. This is a dish to convert all the brussel sprout haters of the world. Seriously, give them a try!
— 12 large brussel sprouts (about 1.5 lbs)
— 1/2 Onion, chopped
— 3 Tblsp. Soy Sauce
— 6 Shakes of Garlic Salt
— 1 Tsp. of Regular Salt
— 1 Tsp. Pepper
— 2 Tblsp. Agave Syrup (Click here to see the kind we use, purchased at Safeway)
1. Trim brussel sprouts and toss the cores
2. Steam brussel sprouts until just soft, about 5 minutes
3. In a separate frying pan, add onion, soy sauce, garlic salt, salt, pepper and agave syrup.
4. Add brussel sprouts and briefly stir fry until the sugar caramelizes onto the brussel sprouts. About 5 minutes
The next time we make these, I will update with a better picture. If one of my readers makes these before me, please send me a better picture that I can use!
